This is a thread where any and all people interested in fan-fiction and roleplaying may share their ideas for what they believe might make interesting and creative stories. The prompts shared here need not be long and descriptive, though they can be if you wish it. I'll share some of my own ideas and I encourage you to do the same. Feel free to take these prompts and craft the stories they might inspire, just be sure to give credit where credit is due.
Here are some ideas I've come up with over the years, but have never been able to make myself write:
The Three Hammers: a story about the dwarven people of Khaz Modan and the impact they felt from the War of the Three Hammers. This could be juxtaposed by the present daily workings of the Council of Three Hammers or could be a simple history.
A dark or black comedy surrounding a team of agents working for the SI:7.
A hunter stalks his prey, makes a kill, and finds himself being hunted by something else.
A tavern is filled to the brim with bounty hunters. They've all been called together by a vengeful merchant to find and kill a dangerous criminal who has stolen something important from him, and to return that object. A law enforcement organization is also after the outlaw. Some fight each other, others work together. Each hunter/team of hunters and the criminal himself get profiled- each being vastly different from the last. You could also call into question the value of the item that was stolen and the motive for the theft. The stolen item need not be an object. It could also be a kidnapped/rescued person or group of people.
Maelstrom: A story about pirates. Highlights the story of a single ship, throughout all of its changes in leadership. Takes place on the high seas and in coastal areas. Consider title change.
The Homecoming: A story about one orc's return from the war in Northrend and the horrors he or she had faced there, along with his or her ability to cope with the new aggression of the Horde under Garrosh.
