I don't know about PvP realms on EU but i do know PvE ones that are very good on it.
EU-Lightning's Blade <-- Where <DREAM Paragon> is. They were the best guild in all World of Warcraft on PvE, but now they are 5 because they got banned for 1 week for abusing a bug.
That's the only EU realm i know since im only US. I know there is alot of good PvE guilds on EU servers but the only realm i know is Lightning's Blade.

I am on Veknilash EU atm. Here Horde>Ally PvP wise. Server is pretty much dead in PvE perspective. People are leaving server so often and population going down. Btw its not PvP server - its normal PvE server.
What you may find in this server.
Good social people as specially on ally side.
Almost instant que in BG if you play on vek.
Horde dominating - Misery Battle group.
Edit: I wont suggest this server if you paying money for server transfer.

Vek'nilash on the EU servers is PvP
,
on the US server it is PvE
. I know because I play on the US one. By the look of it they both are low on the progression scale.

For the really busy realms like Outland, Kazzak, maybe Tauren Mill, you may well face a long queue to log into the servers. I've had to wait over an hour before on Outland (not there anymore) just to log in the game. Maybe worth chosing a quieter server but in the same battlegroup?
It's worth taking into consideration, maybe roll a level 1 and log at peak times to see if you can get on ok and that the main cities aren't too laggy before you transfer there.

I am playing horde on Grim Batol and have some information about that one.
The population and activity on that server is very good. The que times are quite decent, with 10 min. wait for a DPS on average, less if you are tank or healer. It's a PVP server and has the occasional grief that comes with playing there, but I have not been ganked too much during my levling there, so it's all good.
The BG's are fairly even, but you will not be handed victory and must actually work for it.
The economy on this server is severely screwed. You can make a LOT of gold by being a farmer, or spend even more if you are lazy. I would gladly recommend this server though.

The realms with their servers in my city are:I wasn't even aware that EU had different physical server locations o.O I understand the West/East Coast and Oceanic problem for NA ones, but Europe is small enough, geographically (excluding the Asia part of Russia)
