With the INSANE mindless Arms nerf a while back (shared cooldown idiocy) I too decided to give Fury pvp a go.
I gave up pretty soon, the Primary Difference between Arms and Fury is Fury is always either explosive or weak, nothing in between, like someone said if you spam all your cooldowns, which is the only way to burst someone who might get healed soon, if that does not kill them you are simply weaksauce for the next few minuites and will get destroyed unless you have lots of heals.
Furthermore a lot of ppl are starting to get used to this strategy and will pop their def cooldowns, or simply snare the crap out of you for 15 sec and bam, you just blew your load and nothing happened.
Arms on the other hand has consistancy and can at least put out steady big damage over long periods of time, with the occasional lucky crits or switch into berserker real quick for the crit chance buff for a few sec.
However.... just because Warrior has the one token "best" mobility move, and some of the best burst they seem to have missed out on ANY cc, while the other classes have so many snares, so many slows, so much cc, that any decent player can avoid a warrior long enough to kill him, especially 1 on 1. It has just become unpleasant.
All of this is true.
Enhancement shamans that can kite me.
Rogues, frost/unholy dks, other warriors... it's sad.
Other warriors? Really? Unless they "out gear" the crap out of you, are almost as talented as Swifty or any other PvP warrior god/goddess, it's likely to be a tie. Warriors were always the easiest for me to kill back in Wrath, though I will admit that there were a few that put me in my place and because of it, I learned from them. Seeing how I have zero experience in cata, I can't say with any specific certainty how easy/difficult for any warrior spec to donkey punch the other classes/specs, but I'm 100% certain that warriors have to work the hardest to kill as well as survive. It's always been that way, at least till they patch a massive nerf on our class. The great thing about that is
we have to work all the harder to beat the snot out of the other guy in the duel/opposing faction of your BG.
The more difficulty, the more work, the more satisfaction, right? :3

Just roll arms and you will rock. Fury is not that good for PvP, and when Im saying PvP I don't mean using one-shot fury macro in BG's, but higher rated arenas and fair world pvp.
So I'd say give arms a shot, gear up, and then rock in PvP! Hell, you might even stand a chance against frost mages 1v1.
PROTIP: Try to get the 'feeling' when the mage will cast Deep Freeze, if you reflect it your chance at winning is much, much greater :)

Nah screw it, thanks for trying anyway.
Cancelled my sub.
Will play again when achievements are account wide, and/or warriors are fixed.
Will transfer my achievements to my rogue or something, a better class.
Edit: No point playing this game when it's so annoying and every other class laughs at you in PvP.

I'm sorry to hear that, but changes vary from one patch to the next. I hear warriors, definitely Arms ones, are getting a huge beef up in 4.1. Either way, best of luck with your decision.

Interest
because as arms i eat everyother class cept mages. and resto druids....and the resto cant hurt me.
i EAT them.
Arms is probably the heaviest pressure class in the game right now. Problem is you gota have a good dispeller keeping you out of roots otherwise its drops to crap. I wish they would lower War damage and let warriors have more utility to manage their own problems, rather than having to be so reliant on partners.
Agreed. That would be a good solution.

The grass is always greener, so they say.
So, I now have a pally, druid, shammy and mage (All around since BC), a rogue since wrath (Was my level 29 PvP toon for about a year before that), and now, a warrior.
Want to know why? Because every time I roll a class, I get frustrated with the one or two "anti-classes" and roll that particular class. For my rogue, it was always warriors and pallies, pallies especially in Wrath. Now, warriors seem to be an issue again. I can't do any damage to them at all. On my druid...lmao, let's just not talk about it, because we all know. My pally, seemed pretty good against all classes at one time, but, in cata, not any more. My warrior can take them without too much of an issue these days. The shammy, well, rogues would rip me up etc etc.
Point is, blizz seems to always make it so that you will almost always have one or two anti-classes. It sucks that you can't just be great or good at PvP and have a decent chance against all classes, but then, you end up over simplifying the classes too much and then the game gets boring.
One thing is for certain. There ALWAYS seemed to be a place for warriors in PvP, and I am sure there always will be. Look at arena ratings and the top rated teams. Most teams have a warrior in there somewhere. I think that's why I wanted to roll a warrior finally, after all these years. Took me long enough to realize that
BTW, I rolled a goblin warrior. You want to talk about mobility? xD If I am not snared in place, only slowed, you better believe I will almost always have a way to catch you.
Lastly, frost mages will be experiencing DR on two of their snaring abilities, so we should find them just a TAD more managable after the patch. Maybe not perfect, but it's a start.

This is why I stopped playing.
Sure, warriors are always good with good team mates.
But I don't really enjoy relying on others.

I've been fooling around with the idea that if and when I come back to WoW (just a matter of time, really), I'd race change my main into a goblin but I've heard from some sources that the "rainbow jump" they do is generally crap.
I haven't heard much about their rocket belt, the 1% AS haste is meh, the top of the line price reduction on rep items is cool, and the alchemy is... Eh.
For a while there back in wrath, I was an undead from the beginning and just loooved~ it since, ya'know, get out of fear/sleep/charm, go nom on a corpse for a quick snack/health regen, and the fact that they're just overall nasty.
Then I went tauren because they're big, badass, and the war stomp + 5% hp was nice both for PvE and PvP. However, I'd have to say one of the top races for a Warrior in PvP seems to be the orc overall. I'm not really gunna get into the theorycrafting, I'm just stating facts. Expertise is nice, if only with axes and fist weapons (fist weapons on a warrior? They have to make some slow str ones eventually for SMF). Blood Fury is derp. 1100+ AP for 10 seconds? Nice. The stun reduction is what I thought was the coolest thing about them, but that was back when you could spec into that stun reduction in the Arms tree back in Wrath. Oh wells.

Ehm, isn't it base health? Not Total? . . . . Yep it's
base.
Yes, BASE health. It's still a nice perk for anyone, no matter your spec/role.
