I honestly can't believe people are this lazy :( People in my guild are leaving mage alts logged out in Dalaran to portal each other around...a concept that's completely beyond me; seriously, wouldn't do it if I did have a mage.
There are zeps and flight paths, and Azeroth flight in 15 days. Suck it up?

Sitting on a zep for the 1000th time is not fun to most people. It may be fun to you, but not to most people. We did it for years in vanilla, no need to do it again.

plus not everyone who plays now played in vanilla,but whatever.it just means its going to take longer then 5 seconds to goto orgrimmar and buy crap from the ah(since thats the only reason why i go there anyway) and get back to dalaran

Nothing boring about Zeppelins especially if you are alliance...took them yesterday to do Pilgrim thing, eating at horde tables and stealing their food...makes for an interesting trip.

Personally, I think I'll be using my time in Shattrath. Tired of Dalaran in general :D
You do know there wont be any portals there either?
So? It's a pretty nice city and quite lagless.
I'm hoping Dalaran will also be lagless. Maybe that Locket will be put to good use. Without the lag, Dalaran is actually quite a wonderful, lively place if you think about it.

let's see:
if you are between the lvls 1 to 60, set your heartstone to orgrimmar/stormwind/undercity/darnassus as those will be the places you will use to train your skills, and buy stuff on the AH. When you need to go to a capital to do whatever the hell u do, just use the heartstone and do your stuff, then use the flightmaster to get back.
when you are 58, you move to outland, set your heartstone to shat, and when u need to train spells, use the AH; or your bank, or whatever, go to shat, they are adding class trainers and AH to shat so it serves the same job as your capitals, there is no real need to go back to azeroth since u're doing quests in outland.
when you are 68, just set your heartstone to dalaran, they are adding class trainers and AH to dala, so there is no real need to go back to your capital whatsoever, when you wanna do your stuff just heart to dala, and then take a flightmaster to whatever u were doing.
when you are 80, rite now you can't do squat other than (laughs) raid, so you either stay in northrend using dala as your hub, or travel to orgrimmar/stormwind and use it as your hub.
when cata launches, just set your heartstone to orgrimmar and stormwind and presto.
everything you need will be in those capitals, including portals to the new zones.
let me repeat that, PORTALS TO THE NEW ZONES.
this means if u're in orgrimmar you can take a portal to the twilight highlands (asuming you got cataclysm and the level to quest there) and that's it, u got access to the eastern kingdoms without needing any zep.
if u're in stormwind and need to go to kalimdor, just take the portal to uldum or to hyjal, and that's it, presto, you went from EK to kalimdor, no problema.
Frankly I don't see the reason for this stupid QQ, Northrend will suffer the same fate as outland, in other words it will be a barren land devoid of players or activity, with only people leveling alts going there, and only during the lvls 68-80, after 80 it becomes deserted once more.
Outland is a barren land where only leveling toons go to level from 58 to 68 and then leave to almost never return.
The tools you need in a capital WHILE you are leveling are going to be provided by shat and by dala, so again, why is there being a QQ about this? if you had to make lenghty trips to orgrimmar to learn your skills all the time, or travel to orgrimmar to buy stuff at the AH, and then have to come back to northrend I'd see a reason to complain, but if these services are going to be provided by dala, then why cry about it?
