Draenei Mage, or Draenei Warrior?

My apologies for another "which class" thread, but this one is slightly different.
I'm starting over with the game, might be looking to RAF with someone if I find the right match. Whether I do RAF or not, I need to pick a class from a very short list, and I'm having some trouble deciding.
Little background: been playing since beta, gave away my account to an old friend a few months ago. Cata looks too good to pass up, so I'll be coming back to casually play, from scratch. Having played for almost 6 years, there's still a few classes I haven't tried, and others I will want to replay with the new race choices in Cata.
Here's my list of choices for my first pre-cata character:
Draenei Warrior
Draenei Mage
Not a long list, I know. Post-cata, I plan on trying a Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, and Worgen Rogue or DK. I will never play a night-elf.
To me, the right race can make or break loving a class. So it's not just "which is better, mage or warrior?" But it's also, "How has your experience been playing a
Draenei
Warrior or Mage?"
I will be questing and doing randoms mostly, with casual PvP thrown in, and mostly doing 5 mans with the occasional 10 man at end game. I'm thinking after level 60 in this regard, since I plan on doing RAF and all. (And maybe helping someone get that rocket mount. ;)
Thanks in advance for your input!

Being a hardcore member of the Horde, I can't speak to how it is to specifically play a Draenei. However, I'd opt for the Warrior.
I like classes that can fill multiple roles, that way when you level to 80 you've got options. Plus, the queue times as a tank are really short.

Draenei Warriors look funny because their 2-handed swing looks like they're playing golf.
With that said though, they look pretty badass in plate, both male and female, whereas Draenei Mages only look good as female. Plus GoTN is a great heal for both classes, as they don't heal.

I think I'll go with Warrior. Never played one passed level 16, and that was my first character ever created at release. (Human Engineer... hit that 16 slump and never passed it, hehe.)
Debating now if I should even bother with RAF. Might want to take my time and just go with the flow, building the character slowly. Plenty of time till Cata hits.
Thanks for the replies everyone!

True enough Breaus, I guess I'll just try em both and see what sticks. Plenty of time till Cata.
Cryz, I will never play undead, or most of the horde for that matter. The posture for the tauren, trolls, undead, and orcs are just terribad. If trolls stood up straight and wore boots/shoes, I would go horde in a heartbeat!

Draeneis are fun.
Good stuff:
Gift of the Naaru is a pretty nice heal over time, especially if you end up being a warrior.
They have both awesome casting animations as well as melee animations.
Bad stuff:
Horrible mount.
They scream like kung fu fighters when being attacker or attacking.
If you end up rolling mage, you'd be a rare specimen, most alliance mages are Human or Gnomes. Warriors, speaking from a personal experience, are not hard to level (no mana, just rage) and are fun as hell. Even though there are no heals for you, pick up First Aid and GotN should carry you to 80 with little to none downtime.
In short, go Draenei Warrior.

Draenei Shamman?
Already had one on my old account; besides, I need to roll me a dwarf shaman come Cata. :D
Thanks Happy, thanks awesome advice. In all my years, I rarely met a Draenei mage or warrior, either. They're all paladins, hehe. I'm going for Warrior. May as well make him a jeweler too, its the one profession I never leveled believe it or not.

I would go with a Warrior. They are the rarest tanks to see and generally in demand for that reason. I find my Mage to be fairly one-dimensional, especially in PvE. (He is Arcane though; Fire has a slightly more interesting rotation.)

Draenei doesn't fit as mages. I mean you see one big muscular guy and he is using magic. Also nowadays Draenei mage % rate is low. I suggest you to go for Draenei warrior. It will be like playing a tauren warrior.
Well, Eredar were THE original mages, so I don't see how they don't fit... Draenei males do look kinda funny in robes, but they aren't nearly as bad as humans, night elves, dwarves, orcs...

Hahaha, sorry Cryz. But hooves > 2 giant toes any day. Sucks too, I like the horde mounts a whole lot more, especially the kodo and raptor. My friend from work is trying to make me go horde, I'll have to think about it. Troll Warriors.... I vaguely recall they were the rarest race/class combo in the game. Still true?
Thanks for the great tips, Monte. I did level a Draenei Shaman to 70, he was amazingly fun. I really enjoyed getting him to 21, too. I loved the tabard at the end.
And yep, I would definitely be tanking. I planned out a leveling spec for him and all, and plan on doing randoms as much as I can while questing him up.
Ya know, now that I think about it, I have a friend I work with on the horde side who is kinda tight on cash. Maybe I'll RAF with her, get her a free month and a nice shiny new mount. Maybe give that troll a spin, hmm. Plenty to think about.

This ^ 'tis why I like my Paladin.
Anyways, it's a tough choice, as both are cool. IMO roll a draenei mage, we see to few of them.
