Looking for Raid (LFR)

I have used it many times, queueing up as I go about my business as usual. I don't think I have ever been invited to a raid through it, though. And I rarely see anyone in it. Everyone on my server seems to spam Trade when making a pug. This is abit annoying as you need to be in a major city to pick up on pugs forming.
The other day I queued as tank for the weekly Naxx quest and as it was at a time of day when there were few on, I figured I'd get a group pretty quickly. I saw several pugs looking for a tank for it for almost an hour before I decided to whisper one of them for an invite.
I have 5k+ gearscore for both my fury dps and prot set, so I should be geared enough for the pre-icc raids, at the very least.
How is it on your servers? Do you use the LFR at all when you pug raids? If not, why not?

People use it much less now than they used to. I've put myself in LFR quite a bit but I still get invites 99% of the time from people posting in Trade Chat who don't use the system.

Well whenever I use the LFR system if I start up a pug I always whisper the person before and ask em if they want to come to whichever raid I'm doing. Just because you use the LFR system doesn't mean you can't have the intelligence to ask people questions about what you're doing.

Basically the LFR system is useless, which is as I suspected, but it was nice to hear that it wasn't just me.
Here's hoping Blizz tries to spice it up abit. The LFD has been a raging success for most players.

LFR wasn't good before, and it's even worse now. Problem is that as the game is formed now, people won't start using it anytime soon (unless they add emblems for using it).
It also sucks that u can't que for dungeons, raids and pvp at the same time. If the RL is "good" and uses the lfr-tool, I can't do some pvp on the side while we will the spots.
If ur in WG and u win, if there was a button: "Would you like to LFR for VoA (10/25) now?" - People would use it. Same with the weekly q's - when you pick it up, you get a question: "Wanna que for this thing and get easy emblems?" Hell yeah!

Supposedly they're (Blizz) looking into making LFR work cross-realm just like LFD, but obviously since a simple need over greed isn't optimal for raids (it's hardly optimal for 5mans, not hating on it but with stat weights being what they are it just isn't) they have to devise a different system for it.
Can't find the informative blue post about it that I'm referring to but it's in the works.
As it stands, LFR is pretty dead on my server. I think it got used for like a week after it came out, until people figured out it wasn't cross-realm... trade chat still dominates pug recruitments.

This is also annoying, imo. People should use the LFG channel and leave Trade open for trading and whatnot. And yet, almost nobody uses the LFG channel on my realm.
