Fire's a dead spec, right now.
Inferior for PvP, and now PvE, too.
I disagree with you, in my case with my gear in raids i beat all of the arcane mages, depending on how u use de dots n the spells u cast, the whole damage done competition in raids is usually a number one fight between me (fire mage) mm hunters, retri paladins n blood Dks, most of times i win the the first place, being fire, as far as pvp well my only proble being fire in pvp are arcane mages.
But about the fire spec i would really like to talk with the blizzard staff =(

You don't have a chance to beat an arcane mage.
Like; none. At all. Ever. MAYBE if he's AFK. I see people on forums talking about how they use fire in arena and BGs; but whenever I run into them; in an arcane build or frost; I laugh to myself. It's a joke. I GUESS people have fun running that specc or think it's decent..but I've never came close to dying to one. Well...not really. Your damage is subpar and the burst is null. You don't have the capability to win. Imp CS; slows without diminishing returns...etc.
Well i´ve always liked fire, i cant say that is easy, but its possible, i´ve beaten arcane mages, sadly its very hard even if you are good, thats is something blizzard should look after, if they dont care about fire, the get rid of the fire spec but instead the leave us with somethin many mages complain its mediocre, when i reset to arcane i know how easy it is.....everything, pve n pvp....
Thats how i feel....
Here is a blizzard thread about that for those whom havent seen it.
What really made me upset was in the interview with the blizzard design staff about fire mages they started talking about hunters.......

Ffs NO NO NO ! they should not make more than at least two specs being viable in pvp, everytime blizzard tries to make a new spec viable in pvp it becomes overpowered, we have seen it before. Warriors arms spec in early S6, warlocks destru spec in early S6 and prot paladins dominating the hole 2v2 bracket. Not every spec is ment to be fire. Mages have frost as our main pvp spec and for some people who like arcane which is just brainless burst damage and therefore also a viable pvp spec.
Fire is not ment to be good in pvp.. it can be hell fun but never viable for high rating. Blizzard have PLENTY of other issues to take care of and mages as frost is one of the most balanced classes in the game. We don't want mages to be like they were in the first two weeks of S5 one shooting everything with POM pyro.

The fact that an Arcane Mage is a hard counter to a Fire Mage is not really significant; it certainly won't be addressed directly by Blizzard, nor should it be. The fact is that a
serious
PvP Mage is going to be Frost anyway, so we are taking about Rare vs
Really
Rare.
