Tbh u ask to much of urself :P I was just wondering myself that question and the result was a one hander and shield cause i wanna learn the tank proccess and tank some low lvl instances aswell =) If u wanna lvl fast, screw the aspects of all specs, grab a 2-hander, go arms or whatever and grind the hell outta u. Then when u reach 70, u find a equal sword to all the heirlooms and ur at the clear :)

Well I'm not sure think I agree with the statement that the two +xp pieces are a better choice than the weapons, since having better weapons makes killing things way faster. At any rate, I already have the shoulder and chest for my DK so I'll just pass them on to my warrior and then my
only
concern are the weapons. ;-)
You're crazy. The +20% experience also increases experience gained from quests. You'd be foolish not to take the chest and shoulders. Besides, the weapons aren't so good they'll increase your killing fast enough to overtake the +20% experience bonus.

The problem with protection is getting defensive gear. Once this was viable because leveling was slower and people would do instances. But with the XP boost and heirloom epix it's all down to solo play and dps specs.
