Best place to farm wool cloth?
Return to board index

I went to Pyrewood village (in Silvermoon forest) last night and farmed there for linen cloth. That place has amazing rate for linen cloth, about 40-50% rate per monster. It is densely packed with moongates and they respawn pretty quickly and are closely packed in 1 spot. I could get as much as 40 linens within 15 minutes or so.
Is there a place similar to this for farming wool cloths? :)

I'm actually a lvl 41 dwarf priest. Pyrewood village is a funny place. In the daytime, the village is filled with humans and you can't attack them if you're alliance. However, when the moon comes up at night, they shapeshift into werewolves, and then you can attack them.

Stockades is definitely the best place for wool. Fast instance, easily soloed, easily reset. You can get a couple stacks of linen and wool in 15 minutes.

Are ye horde or alliance? If Horde use the nethergarde mine whatever place next to the ally camp in blasted lands. If your Alliance/Horde, try the furbolg camps in felwood, ogres/gnolls in Feralas. Satyrs/Highborns in Azshara. You can also farm the highelfs in hinterlands as horde, but I wasn't sure if they shared drops with runecloth.
Don't think so. Runecloth doesn't start dropping from mobs until the early fifties. You'd be safe there, though I've found the drop-rate for Mageweave abysmal there. Definitely the Furbolgs in Felwood if you're not in competition with someone though. Hell, you can go for the achievement while you're at it ;)

As a lvl 41 you can make it to Stocks with only 4-7 deaths going through the front. Definitely worth it, though. It is great for wool cloth and you get the achievement, too.
There are two places where you wont pull guards (just inside entrance and on a stretch by stocks).
