This will probably be the best enchant for melee classes, probably the most expensive aswell like Crusader/Mongoose/Executioner/Berserk or Landslide before it. Let us hope that this enchant won't have an overdone spell effect! :p

With the new ability of enchanters to 'upgrade' MoP enchanting mats to higher tiers, it would take exactly 1356 spirit dust to create one dancing steel enchant from scratch. (1 sha crystal = 3 ethereal shards = 9 greater mysterious essence = 27 lesser mysterious essence = 135 spirit dust).

EDIT: Since beta this has been changed, so as Seiryuu correctly points out, 1 Sha Crystal = 5 Ethereal Shards = 25 Mysterious Essences = 125 Spirit Dust hence 1262 dust is now required for this enchant.

River's Song: 4 RPPM on melee attacks that land, or are dodged, or parried.
Dancing Steel: 2.3 RPPM on melee attacks that land.
Colossus: 6 RPPM on melee attacks that land, or are dodged, or parried, with a 3-second cooldown.
Elemental Force: 10 RPPM on damage or spell damage/healing
Jade Spirit: 2 RPPM on spell damage or healing, 50-second cooldown.
Windsong: 2 RPPM on damage, or spell damage/healing.

Edit: As of 10/15/12, Windsong and Elemental Force now proc on all damage and healing, including melee, ranged, direct and DoT.

They now trigger on the new "Real Procs Per Minute" (RPPM) system, which is weapon speed and instant attack independent and fully detailed in this blue post.

Edit 2: As of patch 5.1 Dancing Steel, Jade Spirit, River's Song, and Colossus are on the RPPM system also.

Edit 3: As of patch 5.2, Dancing Steel now has a 15% greater chance to activate.

it will increase stats, but it doesnt say how long it will last, with 1 PPM, I am assuming 15-20 seconds with a 40-45sec ICD

- The proc chance is 2.3ppm (was 2ppm before patch 5.2).

- It can dual proc if you have it on MH+OH (since 11/29/2012 hotfix).

- It has no Internal Cooldown (ICD) so the buff can refresh.

I just have a question that I am really curious about it might be completely wrong but could some one answer me just with a simple answer? With the warlock Glyph 'Dark Apotheosis' warlocks pretty much become melee tanks in a way. So I was wondering if I was in Dark Apotheosis, demonic slashing numerous targets and my weapon is enchanted with 'Dancing steel' would I receive a proc from it and if I do receive a proc with it will it be intellect or mastery because in the enchant description its says "Your highest stat is always chosen.". So does any know?

Okay the where to get this Enchant is easy enough to see (Rushi the Fox <Shado-Pan Quartermaster>). But while most of you here are arguing about how pretty or good or bad the Enchant is, in your personal opinions, not one of you tell anyone anything important or that is really a need to know. So.
..
At present ( build 5.2) this Enchant is listed by Ask Mr. Robot to be the go to enchant for combat rogues and Ret Pali's.

As stated, the Enchant can be purchased from Rushi the Fox <Shado-Pan Quartermaster>) in Townlong Steeps at the Shadow Pan Garrison (Cords: 48.88) . It requires Shado-Pan REVERED and cost 38g to get it.

All enchants give a glow and very few people put an enchant on something just because it has a prettier glow than another enchant, so that tid bit of info didn't need to be stated like it was in previous posts.

As a combat rogue or any duel welding class, I wouldn't use this on each weapon though. I doubt both weapons will proc enough if at all. One will of course, so that being maybe the case, I'd use this on one weapon and something else on another . Probably windsong on the other. I haven't tested it as yet, to see if Dancing Steel Enchant will proc enough on two weapons to make it worthwhile to enchant both. That and being it is an expensive enchant, also makes me leery of doing both! Unless of course, you have so much in game gold to blow that you can afford to either pay for the mats or pay the big cost from the ah.On my server the enchant is selling for 4000G. It may be more or even less,on your server. But that's 8 grand for two enchants! Even though I have the gold, it's too much for me to pay it. Not worth it in my opinion. Bet without it You'll do fine too,

This is an excellent weapon enchant for a Paladin tank, since Colossus is worthless. The strength buff is amazing not only for the parry, but the spell power increase from Guarded by the Light. Since the enchant gives attack power, it scales very well with the heal from Seal of Insight and increases the absorb from Sacred Shield. I hope this helps. :)

Went on 5.4 PTR today on my 63 Rogue, and this would give 75 Agi/Str for that level, so, for a Str class, that's still 25 less than Crusader. Still, if it has more uptime, it's probably still better, and it's definitely better for a Rogue at that level, since Crusader gives only Str, which is less than half as valuable as Agi
