Future raid in the next expansion. Clearly. (I have no idea)

I am thinking maybe all the Ul's are where The Old gods were kept. C'thun was in Uldum but escaped to AQ.

yeah but the thing im wondering is do the crystals in un goro hafta do with this, becuz the silithids are no where near any crystal pylons....
this little mystery is bugging the crap outta me (no pun intended) lol The crystal pylons (If they are the same sort as the pylons in Sholazar) were intended as a life-shield for the inhabitants of Un'Goro, to protect the raptors and stegodons and stuff from the harshness and death of the outside world by not allowing anything undead or super-duper unnatural in. They're the reason Un'Goro's a lush primal jungle instead of a desert like the area surrounding it.
It's possible that there used to be a southern pylon but the silithid got rid of it - that's why there are silithid in southern Un'Goro.
As for Uldum itself... I don't think something broke out. I'm more inclined to believe something broke
in
.

C'thun actually crash landed into AQ after battling with a Titan back when the Pantheon first started developing Azeroth. He was injured in the battle, and after he landed in the desert he began to turn the Nerubians to his own purposes. For people who haven't read any of the lore, back then Kalimdor was one whole big continent, and the Nerubian empire spanned the breadth of it. C'thun took control over the southern Nerbubians in AQ, turning them into the Silithid over time. He was too weak to do anything besides sit there and manipulate his immediate surroundings, so he formed a insectoid swarm to conquer to world for him. Or at least try to.

yeah but how could something break IN! cuz i mean thats screws up with the snake pointing to silithus...I'm
speculating
, my speculations don't have to agree with yours.
Now, my justification is, it just makes too much sense to have something bursting out and escaping. Plus, if it turns out that C'thun was the one who escaped from Uldum, then that just bloody well ends the plotline right there, unless we go into a raid instance that we've
already wtfpwnd
to go and kill something else. Like, say, Cho'Gall, since I hear he's hanging around there recently.
Chances are it's going to be somebody we haven't seen. But why do we need to make a whole raid instance to figure out what it was that escaped, and then have to wait for a whole nother patch to dispose of this threat? I'd rather have instant gratification and kill whatever boss guy broke inside, kthx.
Could be Deathwing himself. Now
that'd
be fun, killing the maddest, most nefarious and power-hungry aspect inside the very laboratory of his creators.

I always wanted to see the rest of the Uldaman / Uldum plotline and it makes me mad that content like the Azshara Crater battleground (at least the zone would then be good for
something
) and the Uldum instance were dumped.
However, if I remember correctly, Wowwiki has rumors and speculation pointing to Deathwing being trapped inside Grim Batol (where Alexstrasza was supposed to be, at least until WoLK). This was to explain all the red dragonflight guarding Grim Batol's gates to prevent him from escaping or anyone from trying to free him.

if you have read any of the warcraft books, the aspects thought they killed deathwing,
SPOILER ALERT
but the last chapter of night of the dragons it has deathwing in it and he is alive and recovering and plotting something else. I wont go into anything else because some people may want to read the book :D
END SPOLIER ALERT

I had never noticed, in the 5 years that I've played WoW, that the river in Un'Goro looks like a snake leading to Silithus. That's pretty cool, whether it's intentional or not.
As for Ul'dum, there are some quests regarding it and some info from NPCs. However, not much is known in game. The link to WoWWiki pretty much has all the actual known info on the area. Personally, I'd like to believe something broke out of Ul'dum and the giants are outside to keep people from going in.
I'm kind of looking forward to the next expansion, and hoping it involves a lot more of the old world content. Maybe in the next expansion, the gates of Ul'dum will be destroyed, unleashing a horde of whatever lies inside onto Kalimdor for a world event similar to the Scourge Invasions? That would be cool. I really miss epic world events.
